The Voice of Fu Jen Catholic University (VFJU), a unique pilot radio station, was established on January 1, 2001. Located in Liberal Enlightenment Hall, College of Education, this experimental radio station broadcasts daily programs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on FM 88.5. Its audience is composed of the students and citizens in the neighboring communities of Fu Jen Catholic University, including Hsinchuang, Taisan, Wugu, and Sanchung areas, with a population of about a million. The guideline for the operation of VFJU is knowledge, life, entertainment and service. In 2003, VFJU further overcame the limitation of audio transmission by launching an online live broadcast service.
Besides providing a perfect environment for related course for students, it also serves as a direct two-way communication channel on campus as well as a means of promoting educational ideals and services of the University.
Content of the radio programs ranges from music, art, interviews, and news, to public services; these programs showcase the creativity of students. The station also cooperates with local news agencies, other universities pilot radio stations as well as renowned stations in Taiwan.
VFJU offers free workshops that guide an amateur into the world of a career in radio broadcast. For more information, please visit our website at: https://www.fjucomm.com/fjuvoice885/ or send your comments to: vfju@mails.fju.edu.tw
